Yeah, well, they have an Urban Outfitters. Which is totally unfair that they have it and we don't.

They also have no sales tax and better brewpubs.
I think that the Jailblazers' arena was paid for by the taxpayers, but fewer pro sports franchises = less Corporate Welfare.

wow i learned a lot from that brown article. hes from portland, badass, his wife went to brighton, badass, she then went to the university of portland (where i go to school) and met brown there. and now they have ended back in salt lake. its funny cuz i dont ever remember hearing about brown around the university. i dont think he is in our soccer hall of fame.
well after looking through our soccer athletics site i have learned a lot more of the guys who have attended. of course kasey keller played there, there is a funny picture of him in one of our trophy cases of him sporting this huge mullet. ugh its ugly haha. brown did have an all conference career there, conor casey had an awesome career there, nate jaqua, kelly gray, alajandro salazar all had great careers. of course there is the late great (amazing more like it) clive charles. i only got to see him coach a couple games sadly. another interesting thing, there is a scott benedetti that had a great career there, my last name is benedetti haha, no relation i dont think. josh sampson just left UP last year to go play in europe somewhere. he also is a star on the canadian national team. and there are plenty of famous lady pilots who have had awesome careers at UP. its funny, i never realized how much UP is a soccer school until my freshman year. i thought i might have been able to walk on the soccer team. man those were short lived dreams. all well, even the pick up games are great competition and its always fun to play with the club guys and intermural teams. wish i had more time to play, freaking biology major takes up most of my life when im in school. annyyywwwaaayysss. now that im rambling. oregon is great. i love it there, im a more liberal person so it suits my lifestyle more than salt lake. utah is more beautiful though. no sales tax in oregon as was mentioned. awesome brew pubs. more culture. and its illegal to pump your own gas, lmfao. portland is 10 times the city salt lake is, if they get an mls team and stadium i may never come back to this state except to visit family. its hard to come back to salt lake, especially after 2 years, but RSL does a good job of making the transition back easier 🙂
