Shirts, flags and banners.

I am wondering when, if any, of these items will be available with a loyalists logo on em. I have a great interest in the shirts, and even offer my services to design and get ready for print any artwork you might need. also i have a close friend in the sign making business and we can probably get professional quality banners made up for cheap, cheap, CHEAP!

At the last meeting we talked about this and looked over some designs... I think what we need is to set up another meeting. Loyal1? Maybe sometime over the Christmas break? Then again everyone's family will be in town and blah blah blah. But I think we need to get together again and get our shirts and stuff going.

I talked with the FO again yesterday about shirts etc and using their suppliers. It looks like we can get things (anything!) through MLS licensing for pretty inexpensive. Not sure on minimum numbers to go through them.

We also could use other suppliers if we choose. But with the official MLS guys we can have the RSL badge above the Loyalists design.

If we are interested in mugs, keychains, etc. they can provide suppliers as well.

To go through them and be ready for April it would be a Jan 15+/- deadline.

Where are the photos of stuff from the 11/9 meeting?

Mugs? Keychains? those sound cool!
What about hats and maybe a loyalist scarf. I know the group decided not to give away a scarf as a perk for joining the club but what about having them available for purchase by those who want them?

Will we have a choose of S/S and L/S shirts?

I have said it before (more than once probably) and I'm going to keep saying it until people agree with me:

The Loyalists should be the official supplier of unofficial RSL gear. This would be a great fundraiser, especially right now while RSL gear is hard to get and in high demand. We have some talented artists who are members of the Loyalists and we have merchandising connections to get things made inexpensively, so this could be a great way to make some money for the Loyalists. Think of all the lovely things we could buy for the group: flags, banners, publicity, whatever!

We don't want to wait until April to have this ready, either. I say we get a T-shirt design going within 30 days or ASAP and get things distributed ASAP. Who's with me? Huh? Huh? Ahhh come on! Who's with me??

The only problem I see is licensing... Do we have permission to use the team logo and colors in a fund-raising capacity.
I believe we have permission to use them to promote RSL, the rivalry with the Crapids, the loyalists club, and membership in the Loyalists, but to use them to raise money for us may be a different kettle of fish! I really don't know, to be honest.

It would be nice to have that option tho. We could raise money for countless activities including, chartering transportation to attend away games... which is to me the ultimate fan duty! :D

I agree that we should be seperate from the team with our merchandise. That way we're still the 'unofficial' supporters group of the team. Puting the RSL badge on our stuff would make us pretty officially their fan club.

thats why we would need our own logo with 'the loyalists' on it and not Real Salt Lake

At what point did I say we'd use the official RSL logo? I never had that in mind. I meant that we'd create styles of our own (hence my comment about having talented artists among us) and give people some cheaper options with more style and attitude.

Section 8 in Chicago had some sort of Scarf designing spree or something, and some of them were pretty good. Why don't we come up with some designs? Here's a base to work from, I'll work on some myself.
