I see our two biggest challenges as:
1) getting the midfield to transition well between defense and offense.
2) Getting some goals. We still have a hard time getting shots and goals…

We better figure out way to deal with LA quick because we meet up with them two more times in June.

Let’s hope Mathis gets into the match. I think our best bet for shots and goals is for Kreis and Mathis to hook up regularly. We also need Tiger to step up and be more mobile.

We need to decrease the crosses in from the wing and starts working 1-2s in the middle and up top. Whitfield and Brown need to step up. If they don’t produce, then let's see what Adam Acosta can do. If the first-teamers don’t cut it, its time to give the Reservers a chance.

I would like to see Seth Trembly and Jordan Cila given a chance to see what they can do. Heck, why not see how a Watson/Kreis combination does? – especially if Mathis doesn’t get in…

Another big thing for Saturday will be defense. Our defense sucked against LA in the first match. We need to shut down Donovan, Vagenas, Cobi, Kirovski and Ramirez.

Basically, the stars need to align on Saturday for us to get a win…

The one hopeful thing is that the cRapids had them against the ropes and (save for a sweetheart referee call in the dying minutes) would have won. The Astroturf might pose a challenge to them as well.

The Loyalists need to come out in force and be the extra man.

Here's a little heads up to the team. When Pando Ramirez has the ball on our side of the field he is going to shoot. I don't think I've seen him pass yet.

I hope I'm not just being overly optimistic, but I think we will get 4 points from the next two games. I think the combination of 4,200 ft. above sea level and the field turf will help us to a draw Saturday. Even without the T&T boys on Saturday we will have our revenge against goats lite on Saturday.

Maybe Saturday will be our next chance to see Laser Luke?

Of course LA should be favored against us, but having seen their games this year either on TV or in person, I think they'll have trouble adjusting their game to our plastic grass.

One of LA's advantages is quick and accurate passing. On that big HDC grass field they get to have their way with the less skilled. On our fuzzy concrete the ball will roll, and roll, and roll.

Is that enough? Don't know. But I wouldn't be surprised if we make much more of a game of this one than most experts think.

And we're due for a few breaks from the refs. LA used up their quota against the CRapids.

I like Disney. Old Mickey Mouse cartoons are cool, but even cooler are a lot of the other old cartoons. Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, Goofy. Their films are great too, but not all of them. Especially thier new ones suck. If you ask me their most recent good movie is sadly Aladdin. Loony Toons are cool too. Transformers, GI Joe, and so on. I'm another one of those sad folks that likes to look back on what was cool or fun or whatever when I was a kid. Kamler is no less cool than me...and that's saying something.

As a teacher, I hate Pocahantas. I get tired of hearing, "But in the movie she was in love with John Smith".

I do enjoy the looks on their faces when I explain the age difference.

The altitude ought to factor into our tactics as well -- SJ was visibly tiring by the end of the first half against us here.

We need to make the Galaxy chase. A lot.
