No I don't respect him more or less for liking Disney. I respect him because he is a pro soccer player on my favorite team. I think it does however put a human angle on a popular sports figure...

And I do think it is worlds more interesting to read about Brian Kamler's Disney obsession than what kind of stereo Shaq has in his 40 foot hummer.

I could care less about what was cool when I was 12, could care less what is cool now, for that matter... I like what I like because I like it not because it is cool.

The guy likes Disney... does it effect his play on the pitch... I doubt it! When it comes down to it, it is his play on the pitch that gains(or loses) my respect.

Yes you can but you asked if we thought it was weird and we answered you...

Healthy discussion... that is all it is really.

On a side note: I never thought I would ever be able to connect soccer and Disney.

Well, after yesterday I never though I could connect soccer and Harry Potter either :p

Come on everybody. It's time to Wiggle!

Since I'm trying to be in the business of making childrens' videos, my research has made me appreciate kids shows more. And some of them less. I don't like Disney, but what do I care if somebody else likes it? 🙂

Kamler's a 'keeper.

Well since this thread has flushed completely off topic, I can connect Dora the Explorer to soccer too. Dora is in fact much better than what RSL has been doing lately. :D

I give you my in-law's Disney Christmas collection

http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=4085211&a=30505292&f=

My wife has a large (very large) Disney collection of her own, and my in-laws have an even larger non-Christmas Disney collection. So large that 7 years ago my mother-in-law left her job at Home Base to go to work for the local Disney store, mainly for the discount (And the fact that she hated working for Home Base). A month ago she moved from Bellingham, WA to Orlando just so that she could take a job at Walt Disney World. My father-in-law will be moving down there in 6-9 months after he gets the house ready to be sold.

So no, I have no problems with Kamler's collection. Well I do have one. I'm afraid my wife will decide she likes him becasue of it and start rooting for RSL :P

P.S. Kamler got one thing wrong. The trash can was at Disneyland, not Walt Disney World, and it was supposedly a hot dog wrapper, not a gum wrapper. (Walt died in 1966, WDW didn't open until 1971) But it was Walt's reasoning for the spacing of the trash cans.

A Disney obsession is fine, especially if you grew up with the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday evenings, which judging by his age, he did.

However, everyone knows that Looney Tunes kicks butt. It is all about Marvin Martian.
