I especially like the part about Eddie Johnson admitting he took a dive.

Here's my silver lining for this whole ordeal. I now hate the FC Burn punks. I can't wait to see them in person so I can harass their Dive team. I always disliked Ruiz and his horizontally prone attacking style, and now he is infuencing our young National teamer. There is no way that I am going to miss that game.

In referee class, we saw a video of the 1994 World Cup.

Not only did we get to see some impressive mullets, but we also saw a breakdown of some refereeing decisions.

As we probably could have guessed, FIFA refs make mistakes. If I recall correctly, some of the bad calls were from 2nd round games.

So guys who are among the 8th best referees in the world make mistakes.

Referees are human (well, maybe Collina from Italy isn't). They are going to make mistakes.

Managers of big European clubs who don't want their forwards picking up yellows for diving also now don't think much of Johnson either.

Pope will of course be suspended for this weekend's match. But he felt aggrieved after the red card. "It was a typical foul; certainly not a red card," Pope said. "If the referee reviews it himself, he won't think it was a red card either. And if he does think it was a red card, he doesn't deserve to be reffing."
