I never really liked that show but I did like "Keeping up appearences" and kind of like a car accident that you just have to keep watching even tho you see that it is not very exciting is that really "So stupid it is funny" My Hero!

Never could get passed the bad acting in Doctor Who, the story was just dumb!

Black Adder is great. Are you being served? is great. Red Dwarf is absolutely amazing. But my favorite is Alou, Alou (sp?). That show was absolutely hilarious.

One that must be mentioned cos most of us as teenagers stayed up and watched it on sunday night on Channel 20 (before it was Fox 13) was Benny Hill.
Absolutely the best!

What about the Young Ones?
The Office?
League of Gentlemen?
and Bottom?

Don't know if many of you remember the short lived Max Headroom but I really liked it...

I totally dug the office. The American version is not that bad. The boss is nowhere near as good as David Brent but I think the supporting cast in the American one is better.

I also enjoy Coupling.

However, It all starts with Monty Python.

my favorites in order from best to not so best

Red Dwarf
Young Ones (talk about a creative bastard step-child)
Black Adder (my favorite episode is the 20 seconders, with young ones cast members in it)
Monty Pythonn's Flying Circus
Mr. Bean
Spaced (Simon Pegg's sitcom, funny stuff!)
Fawlty Towers
Dark Ages (from the guys who did Red Dwarf)
Are you being served (not bad)
Keeping Up Appearences (it's Mrs. Boookaaa!)

Hitchikers guide to the galaxy is pretty good, I wouldn't call it a series but i guess it has as many episodes as most UK series do anyway!

also as far as Dr. Who, I had a roomate who loved it. watched it every saturday so i watched it sometimes. was not bad. I AM a sucker for cheesy 70's sci-fi. but how many set's from Dr Who can you guys see in Red Dwarf episodes. Many were used cause BBC is cheapo!

Havn't seen the office yet, but I really want to. hear its great!

I will also admit to enjoying Benny Hill. I have been tempted to buy the DVD. The Flying Circus was/is also one of my favorites. It isn't British, but did any of you ever catch the old Paul Hogan Show?
