The Clippers are in LA?

“You're going to see a rivalry in the Home Depot Center that's going to rival what we have in Estadio Azteca or in Barcelona.”

The first half of that match was incredible... too bad the second half was an utter snoozefest.

At least ESPN2 was kind enough to show the entire game after delaying for the even more of a snoozefest that was the NFL draft show.

Steve Sampson has to give thanks each night that he has Donovan. The boy is special. Great vision and sense of positioning. Involved in every goal…

They'd have been even kinder had they not chosen to show the score of the game time and again before they were kind enough to (finally) start the broadcast.

I know, I was getting all annoyed sitting there waiting and watching that obnoxious NFL guy yammer on about who-knows-what and seeing the score change from 2-0 to 3-0...

I was pleasantly surprised when they showed the whole thing though, because I was expecting them to pick it up in progress.

Did you guys see the atmosphere that the fans created at HDC? That was a close as I’ve seen to a European match. Streamers, ticker tape, etc.

Yeah! That was way cool... except for I kept thinking that someone was going to trip on all those streamers on the pitch at the beginning of the game.

Which would have upped the entertainment value considerably had it happened in the second half. 😉

I found watching the sky cam drop to the pitch quite entertaining. Did anyone else see that?

Yeah that was weird cos about 5 minutes before that SkyCam went flying thru the frame and I started thinking how funny it would be if it fell on Dive-again 😲 and then BAM!!! it was on the ground... it missed the mentally-willed target but entertaining just the same! 😉

But in all seriousness I am glad it fell safely to the ground and no one was injured!
