Sweet idea... I was thinking we should all hold up red cards when EJ is introduced (when does FCD come to town anyhow?) We could get like thousands of little red cards and have the whole stadium do it. We'd just need red paper.

I believe the first time is June 4th but EJ will probably be playing for the Nats on that day. While I seriously disapprove of his recent "performace" there's no way I'm not going to support him against CR.

I am going to support the US... if EJ is on the field I will cheer him like crazy. But I have no problem harrassing him when he is introduced.

I will have my giant red poster board with me....

Maybe I've lost it, but the guy did a stand-up thing by admitting he took a dive (how many other players that you can tell took intentional dives have done that?), and then called Pope to apologize. He may even get fined for doing so. As far as I'm concerned, the guy has made up for it. I'm planning on cheering for him at the June 4th Nat game.

EJ was a punk for telling the Dallas News he was faking the injury to draw the foul. He even mentioned that he is still not as good as Ruiz is (pathetic).
However, EJ did redeem himself slightly when he called and apologized to Pope. Pope said its settled, so we can go back to supporting EJ on the USMNT scene....
and hating him on the FC Diving Club.

During the WCQ, I'll snicker and look the other way if he dives. If he plays during the next game vs. RSL, I don't have any problem calling him evil and tormenting him endlessly. Long live double standards! :p 😉 🙄

If he were REALLY a stand-up person, he'd voluntarily sit out the next match vs RSL.. That is the ONLY way to balance the Soccer Kharma scales. He cost EP a game thru his incredibly dishonorable behavior - this would be one way of making up for it.

I doubt I'll ever trust or respect him again. If he did something like this (fat chance!!!) I might find it in my heart to forgive him.

Personally, given the public acknowledgement of the unsportsmanlike behavior, I believe the league shold overrule the red card and reinstate EP for today's game.

Just my 2000 lire...err.. Euros worth. 🙂
