What is the Pitch going to look like???

😕 I am an avid U of U fan (nothing close to the passion for soccer) but i know that the annual spring Red vs. White spring pointy ball game is next saturday. The question is, will there be stripes on the field this Sat or not? I would think there will be per the fact that the spring game will take precedence over our game, which makes me yearn for a stadium of our own even more.

Yes, the pointyball lines are sewn into the field and can't be removed. They will probably put yellow lines on the field for the game on saturday. Atleast that's how it was with the Blitzz last year.

The sooner we can get the grass in for the WCQ, the better. As much as I'd like our games to be on television, they look absolutely awful with pointyball lines all over the place.

or else....we'll tell the team to pack up and just move to San Antonio?

what are you hoping to be pleasantly surprised by? Since it's pretty much a sure thing that the team will be playing on stripes for most of the season...

And welcome to the board.

As I understand the 'sod' they are putting in for the WCQ can last only a short ime (maybe 8 weeks) so I imagine they'll install when they think it would result in the best looking pitch for the big day on June 4th, then leave it up until it starts going bad.

Only 20 hours (and few minutes) until opening kick! Not going to be able to sleep tonight.

:D
