Will Behncke start vs. cRapids?

Much has been made of the weak left side of RSL’s defense. Will someone else be given a chance in Behncke’s place?

Do you think Behncke should start?

My question is where's Dunny?

Do you think they would move Akwari to the left side when Dunseth comes back? It would be hard to sit Akwari because he's played pretty well.

Who is Dunny?
Anyway, who are they going to start in Behncke's place? Dunseth or Akwari?
In reserve we have Lookingland, Knowles or Flores.

I don't think it's time to hit the panic button on Harpo quite yet, especially when you consider our options (basically rookies). It's only been 2 games, and he actually defended pretty well for the first half-hour, I thought.

Yeah, what IS the status on the Dunster, anyway?

And I really would rather not mess with the Pope/Minister central defense.

Dunseth was recovering, thus the reason he hasn't played yet, but he did play 90 on Sunday for the RSL Reserves.

I agree with jason, Akwari has worked his arse off... I would be disappointed to see him sit! Mistakes aside he is a hustler and deserves to be out there gaining experience and confidence... I feel Akwari is exceptional and will only get better!

Aside from that I think Behncke should start and then if he gets his hat handed to him again then address it with a change!

I AM glad that Ellinger subbed him out at the half, though, if nothing else just to let him know that we can't afford mistakes like the one that resulted in that second goal.

Akwari needs to move to the wing, with left back a good choice. But I actually would prefer he move up to midfield and put Rojas back in his more natural defensive position.

Akwari's hustle will do us more good in midfield. He's still too much of a risk in the back four. Donovan made him look very ordinary on that first goal. Maybe that happens to anybody, but he bought the fak too easily for my money.

Behncke's had two mediocre games. He needs to earn his way back into the starting lineup.

Akwari is unpolished, for sure. It would be a shame to waste his size in the midfield, though. Rojas looked worse than Behncke at LB, IMO

If we had a solid backup ready to go, I'd agree. But....

at this point I'd say that it's more of a matter of the backup contenders earning THEIR way into the starting lineup.

We have problems all over the field. There are more players playing out of position than not, it seems. I say that we give them all at least one more game, though, before begging for line-up changes. I think that this weekend, at home, in a much more friendly atmosphere than they have to this date seen, will be more telling.
