Loyalists MOTM 4/9

More warning this week.

Please reply to me via email by Sunday 8pm.

Official Loyalists votes will be counted 😉

Hopefully we'll have several goal scorers to consider this week.

For me there were 4 players that deserved man of the match. Of course this will spark some debate which is a good thing! Some of you may agree or not.
1) Jason Kreis - for scoring RSL's first ever goal (for the trivia buffs he is the only player in MLS history to score the "franchise first goal" for two different MLS teams Dallas in 96 and RSL in 2005)
2) Nelson Akwari - he was fighting for everything last night great hustle.
3) DJ Countess - for those three beautiful saves...
4) Rusty Peirce - oh my god Rusty was a bloody nightmare for attackers... he was all over them like ugly on Donovan (or should I say Landon Diveagain)

I went with Rusty Peirce because he was awesome... even though he was over-matched in alot of instances he NEVER gave up and made some really amazing stops.

Jason Kries. From inside the HDC, he was the best RSL had on the field.

Countess was solid, Pope did his best with a poor back line, Dipsy played himself into the ground with his effort, and Pierce gave his all against superior speed.

Akwari? He's got a long way to go to rate MOTM consideration. Same with Brian Kamler, who needs to step up and exert some control in the midfield.

As for the unpredictable one, Mathis showed leadership and fought through the triple teaming as well as can be expected.

But Kreis set the tone, ran the whole game, and showed his class for 90 minutes.

So RSL #1 gets RSL goal #1 and also gets my vote for MOTM.

I couldn't have put it better myself! So I won't. DITTO! Jason Kreis is the man!

That's good. While I believe that there were a couple of deserving people this week, I went for history and voted for Kreis. Next week may not be such an easy call for me if it ends up anything like this week though.

Excellent work Kreis.. of course Real is only as good as the whole team... 🙄 That's why this week we'll certainly have several options. I mean... how will we choose between Kreis and Mathis and Dipsy when each of them have 2 goals? :D
