Baseball season starts tonight

Red Sox - Yanks tonight.

My season predictions:

AL West: Angels
AL Cent: Indians
AL East: Yankees
AL Wildc: Red Sox

NL West: Dodgers
NL Cent: Cardinals
NL East: Braves
NL Wild: Phillies

The Mets SHOULD be good, but they just always seem to lose! Too bad for the good Orioles, but the AL East is not easy. The NL East will be very very competitive. The Indians will have to beat the Twins out, but I'm a lifelong Tribe fan so I picked them, and they will be good this year.

World Series: Angels vs. Braves, Angels win.

You know, one of my pet peeves is when someone takes the time to make a thread like this about something that they, for some strange reason, care about, and then someone else comes in and crashes the party saying something like "Man, why do you even like that stuff? It's the most boring thing on earth!"

So, in order to avoid being guilty of perpetrating something that I hate, I'll just remain silent. Won't say a thing.

AL East - Yankees
AL Central - Minnesota
AL West - Angels
Wildcard - BoSox

NL East - Mets
NL Central - St. Louis
NL West - Giants
Wildcard - Braves

World Series - Red Sox and Cardinals (again)
Winner - Red Sox (again)

Although I do think Randy Johnson will bring a different dimension to the Yanks I think Boston will still pull it off.

I actually followed it when the Raptors came to town and the Buzz were in SLC, but once I got hold of MLS on TV and FSW there just wasn't time for the two of them so one had to go. Can you guess which one? 😉

It's all good though.

Sad game for my Sox vs. the Yanks last night... but:

AL East: Yankees
AL Central: Twins
AL West: Angels
Wildcard: Red Sox
(not very original, I know...)

NL East: Braves
NL Central: Cardinals
NL West: Giants
NL Wildcard: Marlins

World Series: Twins vs. Marlins
(battle of the little guys)

PS. I love baseball

But on the other hand, living in Fullerton for many years and watching the Angels cured me of any interest in baseball. So did the '94 strike.

And how about those Steroid Tests, that caught a Tampa Bay Devil Ray? MLB Steroid testers couldn't find a Twinkie in Kirstie Alley's kitchen.

No love for the Indians eh? The Twins will be good (Santana, anyone?) but don't count out my Tribe just yet!

MLB catches Alex Sanchez on steroids. Sacrificial lamb.

Also I noticed a lot of you put the Giants winning the NL West over the Dodgers. That will be a good race too, and it will depend on what Bonds does.

I love baseball.
