So who do we sign?

Do we want Eddie Lewis? Presumably, RSL can pay better than whatever league Leeds is in now.

When does the international transfer window open?

Defender please.

The HDNet broadcast of Saturday's game talked extensively about how we don't have a "go to" guy in the midfield. Dang. I thought our midfield was the strongest part of our team!

There's that guy I saw waving his arm around on the left side of the field late Saturday night. You'd figure that for the money he's pulling down, he'd go in & mix it up with Reyna, Mathis et al and help win possession.

He's supposed to be a Go To Guy for the money he's making.

If Pete Vegenas is healthy and is going to be on the bench once Spice Boy arrives to Victoria Street, let's bring him in. He will work cheap and I am pretty sure he's younger than Lewis.

So Luis, what position do you think we most need to upgrade? Forward, midfielder, defender, keeper...?

I know it has been debated ad nauseum but the "Donovan to RSL" rumors will just not go away. So i thought I would do my part.

It is no secret that Ellinger wanted/wants Donovan. It is no secret that Dave Checketts wants Donovan...

We have a DP slot to use/trade/whatever... LAG want ZiZuo and will probably get him. With HRH Becks and ZiZou there is absolutely no room for Donovan on the LAG roster.

So it comes down to influence... Depending on how much leverage Donovan has with MLS... in 2008 he will be in an RSL Kit or a Chivas kit. I am thinking he will be in an RSL kit...

Mrs Donovan has a job in LA. In fact, her job may pay more than Landon's?

And his family is from Redlands. Yes, Redlands is too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter and is close to some good skiing. But I'm not sure that Landon would want to move here. CDC USA is more likely.

I think we need defenders more; not Pete V.

Isn't Onyewu not in Newcastle's plans? Hee, hee! I crack myself up.

I don't know about Gooch, but I do know that Roberto Carlos is going to be available in Jun and we could get him on a free transfer. We need a defender or a top flight target type forward. If we are going to spend the money, Too bad Jan Koller probably isn't going to leave Monaco.

Now that is a good one! Vagi...I mean Vegenas is as fragile as they come. The last thing we need is another aging midfielder, let alone one that can't stay healthy for an entire season.

No, our left side is pretty much taken care of. If we're gonna go the yanks abroad route we might as well set our sights a little higher and try to get Gibbs or DeMerit. Unfortunately you don't just go out and get whoever you "want".

its no secret that we need to score more goals, but i think we have the talent to do that, it just need to be practised ... get our current forwards and midfielders shooting more.

Defensively, at times last year i thought we looked solid, especially with Forko on one side and Novak on the other. Torres makes a good Central defender, but i would like to see a new defender brought in either to go right side, or to take over from pope, who lets admit, won't be around much longer.

Other than that my main concern at the moment is goalkeeper, but i'm refraining from commenting too much on that as i haven't seen Seitz play yet. Due to work and a lack of money i've not seen anywhere near as many games as i wanted to this season.
