That, and the leaves without branches. No stadium in North America has that. I'm sure some in Europe do though.

I'm guessing they may be for disabled seating.

My guess is that those are the warm-up area for the players.

It's for the supporters flag runner, you know the guy who is supposed to get everyone on their feet by running the flag up and down the area.
aahhhh memories. Anyone remember the Rogue One running and somebody yelling "You're Fat!" awesome. __________________
When my mother was pregnant with me they did an ultrasound and found she was having twins. When they did another ultrasound a few weeks later they discovered that I had reabsorbed the other fetus. Do I regret this? No. I believe his tissue has made me stronger. I now have the strength of a grown man and a little baby.

Interesting "new" renderings. Here is what I see in them:
1) Not much original. The same 3 section radius corners are in MLS SSS's everywhere, but very costly for the cheapest seats (cost are lowest for straight line and 90 degree corners). The cost per seat versus the revenue derived from it is bad. The reduction in area for corner-kicks, service and game day workers is not good, and it forces the side seats back further from the action. 2) I count 28 rows on the end and 24 on the sides, so it will run 20 to 26,000 seats if an all seater. 3) The separate end zone seating area is separate from the rest of the stadium which really messes up the fan access to the concessions on the opposite side or from the end seating itself. Give me an O instead of a U! It gives ambulance and "high 5" line access to the field. Presumably it would be convertible to a performance area with collapsing seat risers ala E-Center and High School Gyms. Clear Channel Entertainment has a deal with Sports Capital Worldwide (Real’s owners) so I wonder what they need? It is also a clone of R-E-S. 4) I looks like there are 2 rows of Suites on the West side (the back grounds/shadows are not accurate) and one on the East. The West side will have a seating area on the roof. 5) What are the "lanes" running from the isolated end zone to mid field? They are very consumptive of good seating. Pastorino has stated he likes the cut into the stands benches and officials area as at Bridgeview (He was in charge there when the design started). A great example is at Ibrox home of the Glasgow Rangers. Maybe is just poor communication to the drafter. 6) The central player entrance is poorly drawn. It looks like the bowl has a slope of 2 in 3, thus if the opening floor is flat, an 8 foot high entrance (cant' have Nic bumping his head) it would only go back 4 rows, not 12. 7) It looks like a dug in a hole stadium. In such a design the concourse is at the level of upper most row and you walk down to your seats. But the Entrance (West?) side looks elevated, could this discrepancy be due to the slope of the site to the West? 8) I have concerns about the "Characteristic Architectural Statement" roof. It won't do much to shade fans or offer bad weather protection. It is one monster air foil, as in a 1200 passenger Jet. It will want to fly. The Wasatch front has experienced 125 MPH Easterly "canyon" (actually over the ridge top) winds that land about where the stadium will be built. Engineers must plan for 80 to 100 MPH Meso-Cyclone winds from any direction. Downburst winds from any direction can drop out from Thunder clouds at over 100 MPH. Frontal and storm winds can blow at over 70 MPH from the SW, NW or N. Is the fabric "shield" able to take the wind and the snow loads? 9) The hotel must be a located some where else, not so integrated or for latter construction. I wonder what consulting RSL got from Earl Holding owner of Grand America, other hotels, ski areas and Sinclair oil? I thought that the free admission to guests was nice (maybe not to the club) but all that glass would reflect into players eyes during daytime games. 10) The roof does nothing to shade the East side Assistant Referee from having to look into the Sun during June “night games”.
