Is anybody interested in making this years' event a benefit of sorts? Maybe collect $2 per player and donate it to the Utah food bank or something under "the RSL supporters football alliance" or some other such name? Just thinking it would be a cool tie in to a fun day of football.

That's a fantastic idea. Or even if people brought canned foods or something. Great idea Heretic.

Unfortunately, I just realized that I will be going to my mother's on Thanksgiving so I will be unable to attend this glorious event. I hope you guys all have a great time.

This just in...

We (hopefully in the personage of Laura [aka luvmyboys] and others) will be collecting canned food and money to be donated to the Utah Food Bank before and during the 2nd annual gravybowl.

In true luvmyboys style, Laura has secured some signed RSL souveniers (read as swag) to be awarded to people who donate with great abandon. So bring your canned food or bring your wallet to the pitch, and aside from having a great day of football, enjoy the warmth which comes from helping others in need during the holiday season.

Did I mention the swag?

Very cool. Why wasn't Laura in the running for Humanitarian of the Year award?

Hey all, I might be joining you guys on TG morning. I hope that I can make it. How are we going to separate teams? Captains, Random Choice, Rock-Paper-Scissors?

I'm so excited! :signrocko

I spoke with Jeff Cunningham at the MLS Cup in Dallas... out of the blue he said he had heard about the Gravy Cup and wanted to participate. I gave him directions, he says he will do his best to be there on Thanksgiving morning.

If anyone on here has a way to contact him via email with written directions he is expecting them.

OK, Jeff's on my team. You're too late, I called it first. :dancing: Actually, it should be easy to neutralize MLS' leading scorer - just have Aero mark him.

Deuce, I don't have his e-mail but I can give good directions. E-mail me if you need them.

If anyone even attempts a slide tackle on him, i'm taking the tackler out.

That'd be cool if he can come. If so, I'm on IBIK's team.

Someone should post directions here as well.
