Guevara MVP MLS just named Amado Guevara MVP live on ESPNews. It was a good presentation, and they also advertised the expansion draft.
Does Guevara deserve it over Moreno and Cannon? I've never liked the guy since the towel whip incident. __________________

That's a shame.
I don't think Guevara carried his team the way that Cannon did. I have always felt that Guevara's antics have overshadowed anything productive he accomplished on the field.

Guevara is a punk and he let down his team when they needed him. In fact, I think his lack of leadership is half the reason DC United spanked them not once, not twice, but three times in a row at the end of the season.
Its too bad that good players who have a great work ethic like Moreno and Cannon didn't get the award. I guess they had to give it to somebody and Preki hasn't played much.

I thought Moreno deserved the MVP, personally. He's had an amazing season individually, and his creativity going forward essentially drives the DC attack.
Cannon was also far more deserving than Guevara, in my opinion. If they'd voted, say, around the All-Star break, I could see people actually voting for Guevara. Given the Metros' issues at the end of the season and in the playoffs, though, it's really bizarre.
