The quote the announcer has at the end of the Mathis Goal clip was "Brian, Cleetus is back!" Perhaps a little premature, don't you think?

Just a wee bit.

So who is everyone pulling for in the Cup now?
Me? Revs and Dynamo.

I say the same. With Houston winning the cup.

Exciting stuff the last few days. Things got a little heated at the end of some of the matches. The Crapids showed the same class, dignity, and good sportmanship winning in Dallas as they did the last match in Salt Lake. Meanwhile in Houston, Chivas took losing in the closing seconds on Ching's header equally well.

GREAT crowds at a few venues too. RFK looked like it was positively rocking. I've never really liked DCU, but can appreciate fans that turn out to support their teams. Houston looked like they had a great crowd too. Two good venues for the conference finals that should both get good turnouts.

cRapids Hockey?

Watching a rebroadcast of cRapids and FCD 2nd leg of their playoff and it struck me: I think the cRapids are a hockey team that got lost and decided that playing with their feet and a ball is just fine with them, as long as they can keep playing hockey style?

ugly, vicious soccer.

That sounds amazingly like a description of Chivas USA's playing style...

That scissor style take down from behind after the final whistle by Garcia was inexcusable... That guy should be banned for life... it was such a blatant take down with intent to injure and/or end the career of (Mullen?) It was clearly after the whistle and Garcia just got up and walked the other direction. With no care about the player on the ground... It was a classless cheap shot...

That is what sparked the already smoldering tempers... and ended the match in a regular hockey style brawl...

I'm 99% sure Garcia is gone. He didn't seem happy in MLS anyway. Then he become baby near the end of the season, then just a brat in the Houston match.

bye-bye JP!
