Did they ever say for sure whether Canadiens would be considered domestics and everyone else would be internationals for Toronto?

No.

Most current rumor is at least 16 Canadians, with at least 3 SIs as Americans.

Good move by Mo. Brennan looked decent for Saints last year. They didn't renew his contract but they're trying to make a promotion push. I figured he'd end up signing with Luton or Southend since he was available on a free. He should be a pretty good player in the MLS.

I'm excited about Toronto in the league next year, and this player sounds like a fun one to watch as well.

I don't think anything been finalized but I last I heard those 3 American SIs were American only with them have 3 or 4 "normal" SIs on top of that so the team could have 7 Americans, 6, 2, or none. But like I said, I don't believe they've finalized that yet.

I was told last year by a league official that Americans would be international players for Toronto and that only Canadians would be considered domestic.

Personally, I think that MLS should follow a traditional North American model and count both Canadians and Americans as domestic players for both teams. Toronto will now basically be the Canadian National Team.

Except for DeRo, right?

That'd turn into a pretty dangerous team, I would imagine - especially if they got DeRo too.

Along those lines I think that all of North America should be considered Domestic as well.
USA, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Belize, Honduras, Newfoundland and Labrador and Panama are all North Americans...

Technically the Carribean Countries as well...

Newfoundland and Labrador are part of Canada.

There isn't a tradition with these countries like there is with the US and Canada.
