I agree that having the stadium here long term is the goal and he needs to turn a profit in order to make it happen. However, I'm just suggesting that we can have both without sacrificing the asthetics of 360 seating or lost revenue due to a lack of a stage.
It would be cool to have a stadium that would cater to both revenue making schemes...I mean activies for Mr. Checketts. Bottom line, I'm here for the soccer, yes I may attend a concert, but I'd just like my soccer experience to feel professional and I don't see it being "entirely" that way with a stage to one end of the pitch.

I agree the stage is not great for soccer, but temporary, removeable seating is even worse. Have you ever been to a place with that type of seating? For example, pick any of the multi-use, football/baseball stadiums of the 1960s. The Vet is Philly, well don't think anyone really looks back and wished it was still around. The King Dome in Seattle, same thing, seats were added for football, taken out for baseball, in the area of center field. Those arenas didn't really work particularly well for football or baseball and most have since been thankfully torn down. I think some things work dual use, some don't, concerts can work pretty much anywhere, so it's a good fit. Biggest thing, make it nice, make it a place I look forward to coming. I can deal with a stage, may not be perfect, but realistically, if it is made to fit in with the rest of the stadium, it will work. That's what I don't like about Chicago's stage, it just doesn't quite seem to fit, like it was added as an afterthought.
