Want Hatch and Scholes to do PBP for ESPN?

http://www.petitiononline.com/ESPNMLS/petition.html

Being discussed here: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=394101

Body of the petition:
Quote:
To: ESPN

In light of the new purchase of broadcast rights by ESPN of MLS matches and in light of Dave O'brien and Eric Wynalda's performance during the MLS All Star game Saturday, August 4, 2006, in which they would not call passes, gave useless anecdotes which they repeated throughout the match and then astonishingly missed the only GOAL of the match because they were not paying attention , we the American Soccer Nation have pretty had enough of O'brien and Wynalda and are petitioning ESPN and MLS to hire Real Salt Lake and KALL 700's play by play guy Ryan Hatch to call play-by-play and his color commentator Wayne Scholes who is a joy to listen to. In signing this we affirm that Ryan Hatch and In light of the new purchase of broadcast rights by ESPN of MLS matches and in light of Dave O'brien and Eric Wynalda's performance during the MLS All Star game Saturday, August 4, 2006, in which they would not call passes, gave useless anecdotes which they repeated throughout the match and then astonishingly missed the only GOAL of the match because they were not paying attention, we the American Soccer Nation have pretty had enough of O'brien and Wynalda and are petitioning ESPN and MLS to hire Real Salt Lake and KALL 700 AM's play by play guy Ryan Hatch to call play-by-play and his color commentator Wayne Scholes who is a joy to listen to. By keeping O'Brien and Wynalda ESPN and MLS are turning off both diehard fans and casual viewers of the sport and potentially alienating new converts with their mindless banter. Their commentary has become unlistenable and a distraction from the field of play. In signing this we affirm that Ryan Hatch and Wayne Scholes are the best broadcast team in America for the sport of Soccer.
An example of their work can be heard here: http://media27a.libsyn.com/mndteJd2cHmZfZZ4mHdppZqnkXqT/podcasts/rslaudio/opencup_colorado_game_08-02-06.mp3

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

Hatch has improved 500% since his first call of an RSL match. It has become much harder for me to dislike him.

I agree with the petition, however, I don't understand why it repeats....just sounds confusing

👍

I voted.

If you look at the link to Big Soccer, you find that the author acknowleges the repeated paragraph and says that it is supposed to be fixed soon.

And they need to weed out the "handles" and the anti-soccer comment.
