If the Jazz are actually stupid enough to do this, RSL will stand a really good chance of becoming the #1 supported and most popular team in the state next year...

I'm not a big Boozer fan so I wouldn't shed any tears if he gets traded. I think he's a defensive liability and isn't the #1 or #2 kinda guy that the Jazz are looking for. So, might as well trade him and his big contract. However, what could be the Jazz's motivations for the trade with LA? Boozer for a bunch of leftovers? Perhaps all the guys offered by LA are nearing the contract end. That would be the only upside. Butler's OK but the rest are dogmeat.

I'm not sure I believe it yet. This move would really be throwing in the towel, and no matter how bad the Jazz have been this year, I've never known the FO and especially Jerry Sloan to throw in the towel. I remember Sloan specifically saying "we'll never play for the lottery as long as I'm here." I guess he might just have to do it with worse players, but still, I'll believe it when I see it, especially after the denials by the Jazz people.
Boozer IS a defensive liability, but he is a threat offensively and he is continuing to improve on both sides of the ball. I'd like to see him stick around for a while and improve under the tutelage (sp?) of Sloan, Chiesa, et al. It seems very early to give up on Booze. The day the Jazz trade Andrei is the day they watch their last fan walk out of the Delta Center. __________________

ESPN thinks it's a garbage rumor.
I'm inclined to agree. __________________
