He also said that they would continue to work to find a deal in this market.

Granted, the local politicians haven't been supportive, but to say the community doesn't support RSL is completely absurd. Because I guess all those tickets sold and merchandise purchased and blah blah blah is totally insignificant or whatever.

He did clarify that the support from the public has been great, nearly 15k attendance and 7k season tickets. He was bashing the political support.

I know that and you know that.

But the Wasatch Front is competing with places that are willing to lay off police officers and close senior centers to build pro sports facilities.

The example I linked to is for minor league baseball and it's pretty extreme. But there are politicians somewhere who are probably willing to do some pretty silly things to attract RSL.

That's what we should be doing. Then we could all enjoy a pro sporting event while the criminals kill off the elderly and steal their stuff thus eliminating their motive for criminality and solving both problems at once. It's almost too simple.

-We should definitely lay off police officers. Then, we could write on any politicians' driveway that we want.

-We should not lay off teachers. If we lay off teachers, then kids will be stupid and ignorant. And that means they will support the Rapids when they grow up.
