Time to just say thank you...

So here is an idea...
It is easy to get riled up when someone says something negative, but what about the good press RSL has recieved.

Lets take a minute to write the DesNews and say thank you for covering the preseason...

They can be reached or the sports editor directly

Please take time to send a note saying thanks for the coverage... there are fans out there and they appreciate the $$$ you spent to cover their favorite team.

I am going to write to both addy's, but if you just write one... perhaps it is a good idea to let James Edwards boss (aka the sports editor) that you appreciate the good work James is doing.

Although I would point out that RSL is paying Deseret News for James to be with the team in Florida. 🙁

My letter to the Sports Editor,

Hi,

I just wanted to take a moment to send a note and express my sincere thanks for your coverage of the Real Salt Lake pre-season in Bradenton, Florida over the past few weeks.

I am very pleased to have discovered this coverage in your newspaper and wanted to say thank you for sending Mr. Edwards to Florida to cover Real Salt Lake.

James Edwards has shown an in-depth knowledge of the sport of soccer, to the delight of the numerous fans, old and new, of soccer along the Wasatch Front. His reports have been devoured by myself and many other fans that are eagerly awaiting the start of RSL's Inaugural Season

Mr. Edwards shows an integrity in his reporting that is refreshing and is certainly a credit to himself and Deseret Morning News.

Thank you

Great idea. I know it's sometimes easier to jump on the negative stuff, but we really should praise the positive stuff when it happens so that it will continue to happen. I'll write a letter today too.

I sent mine! This is a great idea and everyone should send a positive reply even if RSL SC had to pay to bring him with them.

GO ReAL!!!!! Whip the Wizards!!!!!

The Deseret News paid 100 percent of the costs for James Edward to be in Florida. Not a single penny was paid for by the team. That would be a huge conflict of interest.

My bad, I thought Trey told me otherwise. Good job down there James!
*slap* That will teach me to spread false rumors. 😉

So James, is it “Edward” or “Edwards”?
