Ask and ye shall receive. In order to access the feed use this...

http://www.realsaltlake.org/forums/external.php?type=rss

And if you want to do a feed for only certain forums use this...

http://www.realsaltlake.org/forums/external.php?type=rss&forumids=x

Where x is the ID number of the forum you wish to syndicate. Add a , and another ID if you want to use more than one.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Basically it's a protocol that lets you post data from someone elses website on your site in a side bar or on the main page for that matter. So if you had a website and wanted to have links to the latest threads posted on this forum you would link to the RSS address for the forum.

I could go on some more, or you could just read this...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_%28protocol%29

I highly recommend www.wikipedia.com for all your info needs. 🙂

Oh dear, it's like I hear an echo of my husband talking to me. "The wikipedia entry on this is really interesting... look at this... you know, wikipedia blah blah blah..." 😉 Maybe I didn't mention in my other post that my husband is a computer science nerd and we spend our evenings doing things like last night:

"Okay, so in a binary tree you sort like this..." (my husband)
[This is all being played out w/ the numbered Dilbert game cards for a representation of the sorting method, of course... sheesh!]
"But I like the quick sort. Why do I care about binary trees?" (me, showing how little I know of anything)
"Well, actually...."
"Hey, look," I say throwing the cards into the air, "A bogo sort!!!"

(The above should be interpreted as: Nice to meet another computer nerd!) :D
