Media Coverage (pre-WC)

Lots of good soccer coverage the last little while, preparing for the World Cup.

I'd recommend:

(1) Reader's Digest article about the Israel NT and their star Muslim player. Addresses racial and political intolerance in the Beautiful Sport and one nice example of where it seems to have turned out in a positive way (couldn't find a link online, so if you have RD at home or know some middle-aged housewife who does, check it out)

(2) June cover story of National Geographic "Why the World Loves Soccer." The photos are amazing--you'll love 'em. It's not online yet, but here's a teaser with the cover art: http://seabed.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/match_final_tally2.tmpl?issue_id=20060501

If anyone else has a good lead for national coverage, I'd love to hear about it. I think Arelius posted a link to a Times article somewhere...
