👍 Price of having a pro team in Utah

Blah, Blah, Blah. I don't know if anyone else is tired of listening to all the whining about building a stadium on the tax payers bill. Lets settle the whole thing by offering locals stock options similar to the way Green Bay has done with the Packers Football team. That not only allows the community to become more involved, it also allows the people more of a reason to have pride in the home town team.
Go Real!!! 🙂

If you read the articles, for the most part people are attacking the stadium idea and not the team or the sport.

With that said I feel I can't fairly state my opinion on the matter as I am not a resident of either city (SLC or Murray) or Salt Lake county.

I'd far rather have my tax money spent on a stadium than on funding Nancy Workman's daughter's career. But that's just me...

I can always live in a homeless shelter when I retire.

Where do I sign up to buy RSL shares?

Why not do both. Sell the shares to augment tax payer money.
Don't get me wrong. I'm all for having the stadium 100% funded by the state, but then again, I live in another state. 🙄

$30 million divided by (approx.) 2 million SLC residents equals about $15 per person to have the best game in town!!

Priceless...

I think that if the the stad supporters were able to break down the costs of the stad to reflect a per capita dollar amount, the taxpayers would see that this is a very cheap project. Maybe someone more familiar with the numbers could do this for us. $X dollars / 1,000,000 Wasatch Front Residents = $? dollars per resident. Keep in mind that most taxes come from commerce and not individuals' taxes. Could someone do the math?
