Hallowed Ground A list of 26 of Footballs most hallowed grounds...
You will not be surprized by most on the list but there is one that raised an eyebrow! #19 was interesting...🙄 How can a stadium be a soccer hallowed ground when they play other sports, hold concerts and other non-soccer events? I would have liked to have called RSL's stadium hallowed ground whenever it gets done but the necessity to scheduling other non-soccer events kills the mystique if you ask me! I'll bet Anfield or Old Trafford don't host Ozzy Concerts! Your thoughts!

I saw that too Deuce. I think that it can be considered 'hallow ground' because as of now it is the premier soccer stadium in the US. Wasn't the Rose Bowl in there somewhere too? That one seems less hallow to me, considering soccer is not its primary purpose.

Being Hallowed Ground doesn't pay the bills.
Hosting Rolling Stones concerts does. Most people on this board don't think that the Azteca is Hallowed Ground. Hey, we tied Mexico there in '97 & we kept them off the scoreboard for 96 minuted back in '99 during the Confederations Cup. But the Azteca has the Dallas Cowboys in once a year, and concerts, too. If Victoria Street really wants to be Hallowed Ground, they will stop charging $8 for beer.

And why did they put the Rose Bowl in there? RFK or the old Foxboro is more hallowed than the Rose Bowl.

Rose Bowl = Olympic Final in '84, World Cup Final in '94, 69,255 for the Galaxy's home opener in '96.
And whoever made up this list probably likes bacon-wrapped hot dogs.
