What Good Teams Are and What They Do

So, I'm sure all of us have an opinion as to why RSL is sucking it up like a megahoover right now, but I guess I wanted to start a thread to talk about what we think RSL should strive for, what attributes and actions it should pursue in order to start on its way to becoming a world-class team. Here are a few things I have thought of.

1) Rise above the ref: Don't throw up your hands and walk around when a call doesn't go your way. Play through it. Learn to channel your disappointment and anger towards and through your opponents. If you go down, get up as fast as you can. NO MORE WHINING!

2) Rise above the other team: don't stoop to their level if they play dirty. Rise to their level if they are playing you off the field fairly. If someone makes a racist remark, respectfully report it to the referees and let it go. Winning is the best revenge. NO MORE WHINING!

3) A Progressive Positive Attitude: being positive doesn't mean waiting for a streak to happen, for bounces to go your way, or waiting for lady luck to step in and take care of business for you. If you screwed up, you owe your team an apology and a promise to do much better next week. Progressive Positive Attitude means you recognize your faults and you work on them, putting in overtime if necessary, while believing in next week. Effort is not enough. Only a positive result is enough.

4) Beat the ref, and beat the other team: true contenders in any sport are capable of, as a team, playing through and over any obstacle presented to them.

5) Get a coach that actually cares about the game.

6) No more moustaches. FOCUS!

--RSL should be known around the league as the team that refuses to lose. A team that gives 100% effort and focus for 90 minutes.

--We should be aim to be the best at passing, trapping, and moving off the ball. No one should ever assume that if we've got the ball that they'll get it back anytime soon.

--Outlaw walking on the field.

--We need to accept nothing less than championships. Everything we do in this club should be based on how it prepares us to win championships. Yes, we have to win an actual game first. One step at a time.

--Forget the moustaches. A boy can grow a moustache, but a beard is for real men.

I really agree with this. I think they should outsource Ref abuse to the fans.

The players should focus solely on the game. We can keep on the refs and the opposing players.

Yeah I remember I think it was johnson went down and he stayed down for like a minute and he was just sittin there, he wasnt hurt he just sat there, he should get up ASAP
