USA vs. T&T Prediction Thread

So who will win the qualifier tomorrow afternoon? I think the U.S. will win but it will be tougher than we might expect. Remember the T&T team has been practicing together for months, they have the home crowd and play on a cricket oval. I do think the US is a far better squad though and will win.

My Prediction:

USA 2 - 1 T&T

Goals:
Donovan, Johnson (USA)
Yorke (T&T)

Trinidad is just glad to get this far. They're pretty far out of their element at this point.

USA: 4
T&T: 0

Goals:
Beasley (2), Johnson (1), Mathis (1) 🙂

We beat Barbados 0-4 away a few years ago & Trinidad has an EPL-quality forward Dwight Yorke. Isn't Stern John in the Premiereship somewhere? Isn't their goalkeeper in the Top Flight, too?

Granted, the champion of Utah's Liga Latinoamericana could probably win Trinidad's domestic league.

But I see Arena playing the same strategy with his Varsity that he would have played with his MISL/USL players ("Cross the half-way line & I'll rip your ^*&*(^ guts out!").

We take a point after a 0-0 tie; then His Bruceness works on a plan for the same result in the Azteca.

Then, we tell everyone in Alabama that Carlos Ruiz is really Jeff Gordon in disguise and we run up the score on Guatemala in Birmingham.
