AM 700 RSL broadcasts

Does anyone else have an opinion of RSL switching from 1280 (960 in UC) to 700? I used to listen to every RSL road game on 960 while at work last year, and now can't pick up jack on 700. I had trouble even hearing anything over the static when I took a break and went out to my car in the parking lot.

I wish they had stuck with 1280!

I have the opposite opinion. I can pick-up 700 much easier from office than 1280. I also like Matt Thomas and Bill Riley better than the guys over at 1280. It was a big positive change for me. I wish that 700 would have mp3 of past shows like 1280 does, but I have heard rumors that with the ownership change @ 700 that is coming.

To me the biggest point though is that Bill Riley is an actual soccer fan. I really like Grant Wahl and Bill has Grant on periodically.

The porblem is that the guy who owns RSL bought 700... that gave 1280 no chance at retaining the rights to RSL.

700 does have crappy covereage outside of the Salt Lake Valley, but I would suspect that translator stations are on their way in the next year or two. Unfortunatly, that means some people will have to suffer with crappy RSL broadcasts until that does happen.

I like Bill Riley better too, although I still like 1280 and their personalities. I'm fine with the change, and am happy about the extended coverage.
