After two losses and five goals, how long before Garlick is replaced by Nolly.

Can we really blame those goals on Garlick? I haven't watched much of either game, but it sounds like problems are in the midfield - not a disorganized backline, and not due to the keeper (who is also responsible for organizing the backline, right?)

Garlick has had his hand in a few of the five, although not in all of them. Our backline was horrible against Chivas and decently improved against Dallas, but I still think most of the goals fall on the shoulders of the defense. Garlick may have been able to pounce on one or two that he didn't, however (Talley's autogol and Razov's second strike).

I'd like to see Nolly this weekend, but I don't know if he's any better than Garlick at this point...

He was a big part of all 3 against Chivas. Razoz beat him at the near post on both of his and the one inbetween was Garlick coming too far off the line and Garcia chipping him.

I say keep Garlick and use the 3-5-2 with Douglas and Cutler to help shore up the midfield problems. Since we moved to that formation, opponents have been scoreless on us! (so it's only 30 minutes, but still!!!)

If Garlick plays like he did Saturday he can stay in the goal all year, best game he has played so far for RSL.

Today. LA has 3 shots on goal, and 3 goals. Garlick has a league worst 11 goals against. Oh but we can't blame Garlick!

Let me bring this up again. Real has a team high 3 goals in a game. Those three goals were against Scott Garlick.

In fairness to Garlick, you can only blame him for 1.5 of the goals today. The least goal he just didn't try that hard. Then the goal with cross, that is a difficult ball to judge as a keeper. He elected to protect the near post, which is a keepers default/ primary responsibility. In the end it was not the goal saving decision, but I believe most professional keepers would have made the same decision.

Now on to your question... if we see another game where he gives up on goals... Nolly gets between the pipes.

Is anyone else not amused by the moustache ridiculousness?

It would be funny if we were good--but we are not.
