How many ManU fans are lurking around this forum? I'm concerned. 🙂

Shouldn't you be more concerned about the Real Madrid fans?

No. RM fans are all the spoiled, fairweather, bandwagon types. More worried about how fashionable they look at the game than about the game itself.

ManU fans are loyal (just ask Malcolm Glazer). And, clearly, they're not concerned about fashion. 🙂

I question whether you've seen Real Madrid play, there is no more beautiful display of skill than watching Zidane, Ronaldo, and yes even Beckham.

Not sure why you're questioning who I've seen play. I don't recall commenting on the quality of Real Madrid as a team. I was referring to their supporters, the arrogant frontrunners, since they were the focus of the post.

But now that you've brought it up, of course I've seen them play, starting in the 1970's and continuing to this season. I'm on record (somewhere) as a completely unrepentant Zidane fan--I think he's by far the best overall player of this generation. The stuff he did in WC 1998 and Euro 2000 was enough to make me a believer.

Not quite sold on Ronaldo and Beckham as being in Zidane's class, but I'll get arguments on that for sure. And if I was picking a team, Figo would be on it.

In short, they deserve to be called the Galacticos and should be doing much better than they are. Many reasons that they're not (although they're obviously alive and well in the CL and only 8 pts back in La Liga), but that's their problem.

Yes, always a Barca fan.

Now there's something we can agree on. I don't know much about the supporters, but as far as showmanship, RM is a beautiful sight.

Absolutely. An amazing collection of players on that team.

Zidane on his game is poetry in motion.

Figo is overrated.
