I like that RSL does not have to rush Kreis back and can afford to wait til he is totally fit before adding him to the starting lineup.

On that note I think we may see Kreis as a starter on the home opener.
Kreis is still having swelling in his knee and Cunningham has a groin injury. Hopefully Jeff will be ready for Chivas but I think Kreis will not.

It is nice that we have multiple options this year. I think we may see more scoring from the midfield this year as well.

<someone cue the "days of our lives" music...>

Will RSL end it's road woes with a victory over expansion Chivass?

Will Cunny's groin need some time?

Will Ellinger exercise ghosts of '05?

Will #10 play like a #10?

I like Carlos so I hate to say this but it's true. I'm really looking forward to him getting schooled by Attiba as Harris scores a brace in his RSL debut.

Call me a pessimist but I think RSL loses this game. Chivas is going to be vastly improved this year (at least at the beginning when everyone's healthy). It's a bit unlucky that we drew them this early in the year.....with all those old farts I think by June, Chivas will have so many injuries they'll be calling kids out of the stands to fill in.

RSL will definitely win a road game this year - I just don't think this is the one.

I'd prefer that he exorcise them instead of giving them a good workout... 😉

I agree that in some ways Chivas is vastly improved but I'm not convinced they're going to come together. Their back line is likely to be spending more time cutting applesauce coupons out of the newspaper than playing soccer this summer. Razoz, Marsch and Bradley are all quality. But there's still something to be said of a team playing that way. Look at Newcastle. They're had plenty of quality and some good managers but somehow they're lacking that something they need to come together and play well as a team. Afterall, why is Newcastle hoping to pull off a midtable finish while the likes of Bolton, Wigan and Blackburn are looking to get into Europe.

I agree that Chivas will be vastly improved...but, so is ReAL.

The wildcard in this game is Cunningham...if he can go, I think ReAL gets a result because Chivas' old central defenders will have no chance of stopping him on the dribble (guess, either 2-1 RSL or a 2-2 tie)...if he cannot go, Chivas win 2-0...I just do not think Attiba and Jamie have the tactical knowhow to get around the old vets in the back.
