why in the world would FSN utah want to tape delay soccer matches?

the Blaze? there's not baseball to fight? (unless they're planning on showing those rating winner SL Bees).

Doesn't FSN have to give Colorado Rockies games priority over all other summer stuff? At least that was the excuse they gave last season is that Rockies came first and soccer was tape delayed if at all!

Those Super Bowl viewership figures are the biggest load of crap since, um, figures on the economic benefits of taxpayer funded sports stadiums.

90 million Americans, OK; maybe 10 million Canadians and 20 million Mexicans (unless the Super Bowl is on opposite Chivas - America like it was one year.)

But the Super Bowl starts at midnight in Europe and at 8 or 9 in the morning of Monday morning in Asia.

Where does this 750 million figure come from?

The RSL rep (still can't remember his name) mentioned this at the Loyalists meeting last week. RSL's goal is to have every match broadcast live. He said something like they would try to work with KSL and see if they could work out a deal to allow other local stations to pick up the games KSL won't broadcast, but it now looks like they are just putting more pressure on KSL to just pick up as many matches as possible. Sounds good to me, now that KSL has lost all rights to broadcast BYU football and basketball. They need some kind of local sports coverage to keep up their profits.
