cRapids Stadium Pictures

Now I am only doing this because others have posted pictures of the progress of other stadiums in MLS and even the Rochester Rhinos new digs.

Besides that, it is good to keep tabs on the enemy!

And I'm only making this comment because Deuce started it. 🙂

The stadium looks nice. I get the impression that Commerce City is excited about the project. Isn't it on some land of the old rocky mtn arsenal or something like that? Maybe they'll stop rehasing inter milan's jersey and adopt arsenals.

What is awesome is that all of their fans are already there and seated in those pictures...

Looks like they are making good progress. That stadium sure is going to look empty though when all five of the CRapid's fans show up.

I thought that was being built in Colorado, not the middle of the Iraqi desert. Did they have to move it that far away from Denver because of the smell?

It sits on the old Rocky Mt. Arsenal land. Everything to the East (I think, might be wrong on the direction) of the stadium complex is being turned into a wildlife sanctuary. The rest of the area is being built up as a new downtown/city center for Commerce City. Lots of stores, restaurants, etc. as well as the various city offices including a new City Hall.

The stadium will have (as of right now) a restaurant/pub/bar that will be open to the general public on non-game days. There will be a place for the permanent home of the Rocky Mountain Cup either in the team offices or the restaurant as well. You can come by and look at it during your road trips to Denver. 😉

Sandy is looking better all the time, compared with the middle of the desert.

A six-pack is all they'll need to stock that so called "pub/bar".
