Making Noise on Gameday Just got my Galaxy season tickets package--OK, I better stop and explain myself. I move every 2-3 years, so I've had some kind of ticket package for the Quakes, the Galaxy, and DCU over the years. I'm in San Diego now, so I go to games at the HDC. I'll be there on 9 April, wearing my RSL gear and cheering for the Rossazzuri.
So I get the package and the Galaxy has a new rule--no air horns. I'm talking about the plastic things that make Azteca sound like you're inside a swarm of bees. I can't stand the horns, and apparently I'm not alone since season ticketholder complaints got them banned. I know the Quakes didn't allow them at their place either. Anyone care about this? Personally, I like the drums and we can't have enough flags. Bring on the chants, cheers, songs, and signs. But leave out the horns, and get rid of thundersticks while you're at it. | |||||

I agree, and you'll find almost everyone here does too, except one guy... I won't name names 🙂 who loves his plastic horn.
I can't get enough flags and chants/songs (as long as its the fans singing them, not the jumbotron blasting a crappy Pink song (Pink, the singer lady, remember her?)) __________________

I’m all for whatever makes the loudest noise. If that means horns, bring it on.

I'm pro-noise. Cowbells, air horns, jet engines, fire alarms, whatever. But I realize that some people don't appreciate it, so oh well. Just yell louder to make up for it, I guess.

Horns are for the weak. If you have to blow into something, get a kazoo. (You don't see horns in the Premiership. The best soccer fans sing/chant/cheer.)

👍 I think it's time to hear from the other side on this issue.
[Soapbox]When RSL makes a goal, MY goal is to make as much noise as possible. The plastic horns make a lot of noise. Therefore I like my plastic horn. :p I only blow it at the beginning and end of the game and at goals and at half-time, and then only in place of applause. I also join in with any chants and songs we have going. I also beat on my little drum, right along with the big boys. 😉 As far as I am concerned, anything that increases the noise level (at appropriate times) is fair game. I will keep my plastic horn, and blow it proudly (or stubbornly?🙄 ), until they are banned.[/soapbox] By the way... ...Is it April yet? PS: Kazoos don't make enough noise. I think a kazoo band would be a riot. I'm all for it. Or bagpipes... that would be even better, even if we aren't Highlanders!
