LOL
Remember they used to say that tomatoes were poisonous and that germs were in your imagination.... and that the world was flat... and that you could not get pregnant if you did it while standing up... and that one drink of alcohol will make you slobbering drunk...
Oh wait... they still believe some of those things in Nephi!
LOL!
I suppose I will carry on being brain confused with my red bull and vodka... I drink it all the time and I am normal... or am I? |
Mr. Obvious - here's your science lesson for the day.
:goof:
Alcohol = clinical depressant = slows or inhibits neuron firing.
Caffeine + glucuronolactone + taurine = clinical stimulants = increased neuron firing.
While the alcohol is acting in your body to suppress the activities of the nervous system, the stimulants are trying to do the exact opposite = not an ideal situation.
The alcohol causes a down regulation in most systems (except for the liver, which is up regulated to produce more alcohol dehydrogenase and aldehyde dehydrogenase - enzymes which break down alcohol).
