I've never gotten too into the match madness. Probably the most I went down that road was back in '90 (?) when the Minnesota Gophers made it to sweet 16. Oh, the good ol' days when Clem Haskins was around to get tutors to write the players papers. 🙂

I don't call in sick, but I have the games on all day in my classroom. It sucks that I have to leave to go to track practice.

This will actually be the first year in forever that I didn't fill out at least one bracket for the tournament. Without doing that, it doesn't seem to hold as much appeal for me. I always thought I liked the tournament, but it seems like what I may have actually been liking was the competition aspect of filling out a bracket and seeing how well I could do. I wonder how popular the tournament would be without brackets to fill out.

Basketball has just never done it for me. And I've never been very into college sports in general. Football was always my game, and NFL playoffs still hold the same sway they always have over me. College bowls just aren't as cool as the Basketball tourney though. If there was a college playoff it would be so huge!

I was so utterly disgusted by the nature of the Super Bowl this year though.

Since football ended, I've just been getting ready for MLS, sewing flags and whatnot. I actually sewed one flag all on my own, with out my wife's help at all. It's kind of hard though, so we'll see how many more I do.

What do you mean? The Steelers were horrible (lost time of possession, turnover, total yardage battles)? The Seahawks were horrible (drive-killing penalties, dropped balls)? The refereeing was horrible (drive-killing holding calls against Seahawks only, other ticky-tack fouls called on Seattle only, basically one-sided refereeing)? Or was is the obviousness of the fact that the winner was already chosen before the game, based on potential merchandising revenue for the NFL?

⚽ Geoff, from Seattle 😁

If you are a Jazz fan or a Pacers fan you know all about this.

Josh, from the smallest market in the NBA.
