If Germany loses to us or even ties us, the best that Klinsmann and his players can hope for is to be buried in an unmarked grave so that their final resting place isn't vandalized.

I'm not saying the chances are in our favor, but I do think we have a reasonable chance of at least tying Germany next week. A win would be very optimistic, but now is definitely our best chance ever at a positive result.
*EDIT* OK, I just saw the post about the squad - IF we had a full squad, our chances would be much better. Now, somewhat slimmer odds of a tie - but I still have faith!!! Last edited by beaveman : 03-15-2006 at 05:21 PM.

Weak Germany side will not beat the U.S. Germany is in absolutely awful form as of late, note the 4-1 drubbing they received from Italy. To suggest so lightly that an in-form U.S. team will lose is just not sound thinking. And don't forget about the added pressure the Germans will feel playing in front of disgruntled home fans and a sour Bekenbaur. If we continue to play with pace and creativity we should have no problem with Germany.

The Germans are gumpy. They'd probably do that even if they won WC06. __________________
