Lazio 0 - 2 Roma!!!!!!

Roma wins their 11th straight game, a new Serie A record!!!!!!!

Roma retains 4th place, a champions league spot!!!!!

After the game, all the players and coaches put on Totti jerseys in homage of their fallen captain.

Just for those of you who don't know about the Roman derby:

Lazio and Roma are cross-town rivals, it is a huge deal in not only Rome but all over Italy. Totti, Roma's long-time captain is from Rome and recently broke his leg, out for the rest of the season.

Another Roma player from Rome is Daniele De Rossi, who apparently couldn't sleep for the last 3 days because of the impending Roman derby.

It's huge, and it's a huge win for Roma. Hopefully RSL will have really emotional games in the future like this.

I'm playing with Roma right now in Manager's mode in FIFA06. This season they are in the champion's league. The round of 16 saw me taking on Benfica. First leg finished 1-1, and Benfica scored a late goal in the second let to make it 1-1. After a scoreless extra time the teams went to a shootout. (I had never won a shootout before in a few tries). I ended up winning the shootout in the 8th round and am on the way to the quarterfinals.

Thanks Praxis.. hope to see you at some games this year, man. Just so you know I will be hanging out in Trastevere for the next few weeks before winging my way home.

The game was on FSC last night and i taped it for later viewing pleasure. Were you at the game? That would have been so awesome. I have been practicing my Italian for the next trip or my next conversation with you at a home game. In Trastevere eat at an Indian restaurant calle Jaipur which is near Piazza Mastai. I can't find the exact address. And Spinoci Trattoria on Via Del Mascherino by the vatican is great too. An old couple who love to bicker and make food. You get a gruff greeting a laminated menu and some great food and some great people watching. Lots of locals. I was reading about Naples and pickpockets and thinking of your stories. I need to get to Naples.
