I love it when your team makes a trade and fans from the opposing team immediately start complaining about how bad the deal is like the KC fans are doing on BS right now. That usually means it was a good trade.

And now that I think about it, that has happened a lot this off-season. Ellinger certainly has been busy. Are the people that wanted him fired after the season at least willing to give him a little while longer now? 😁

following up on lineup possibilities, hopefully Coach E didn't see this:

"2001 Playoffs: Played every minute of all three playoff games against Miami. Played on the Wizards back line for Games 1 and 2."

Also interesting to note that he's had surgery for torn ACL twice...2002, and 2004. He finished out the last 15+ minutes of the game in 2004 AFTER he tore it. He played HUGE minutes last year, leading KC in minutes played. And he was voted one of KC's top 10 "nicest" athletes. So he's tough, nice, and durable (just as long as he's not screwing up his ACL).

Our midfield is going to be crazy good this season!
I say we play a 3-5-2
----------Garlick
-Cabrera-Pope-Broome
---------Seqeuira
Williams-Ballouchy-Scarlett
-----------Klein
-----Kreis----Cunningham

Wow, can you say awesome?

Yeah, but expectations are higher now with these roster improvements. Seems like another 5-win season would be inexcusable at this point. If we don't have close to 20 points by the halfway mark of this season, I suspect questions concerning Ellinger will start to resurface.

What does this mean for Brown? I thought last year he made something like $80k. Did they renogiate that? Or do they have room for him in that ballpark alongside Klein, Sequeira [sic], Kries, Williams, Cunningham, Garlick, Talley, etc?

I agree. If we don't have a much improved record next year with this kind of talent, then I'll be on the bandwagon calling for his head too. He doesn't have any excuses anymore.

"What [Klein] brings is just the opportunity for us to take Andy and move him back to the middle and now have somebody of national team caliber as our right midfielder, which is very exciting," Ellinger said. "When you have a midfield of potentially Robert Scarlett, Douglas, Chris and Andy, that's not too shabby."

So looks like Ballouchy won't exactly be thrown into the fire as much as some have assumed.

How many people are allowed on the roster? We have like 33! Chivas only has like 21.

Some players will be waived before the start of the season for sure...

EDIT: Oh wait, I found out. It's 32. So there will be waiverings.
