now can someone explain to me how the hell they worked this out. Not meaning to be a downer ... but there are a few teams that are a lot better than us below us. Any ideas on how we got this high?

True enough, whoever makes up FIFA rankings did not hear the announcement not to drop the brown acid.

But:

-Mexico had a great Confederations Cup.

-We beat Mexico like cheap veal in Columbus and put in a respectable performance in the Azteca.

-We also beat Germany-bound Trinidad away.
