Oh you guys.... Cunny does sound a little dirty, but Opie??? YUCK. Must be something in between we can compromise with. Otherwise I kinda like Cunny cause it will forever remind me of Dunny.....

Personally, I don't care what we call him. Jeff, Cunningham, King of Goals 2...
However I don't want to call him Mr. Zero Goals.
But I doubt that happens.
😉

My hope is that Cunny and Kreis are up top (with Tarley taking up when Kreis is hurt) and Andy is the a-mid. But thats my opinion.

Personally, that's probably my preference, too. Apparently, however, Ellinger would like to throw Cunningham on top with Tarley and make Kreis the attacking mid.

People should note that it probably isn't realistic to see Kreis' name on the team sheet every game, particularly during the first few months of the season. The guy's coming back from a serious injury as he continues to get older--not a good combination.

For the record, I'm told Ellinger's planning to use Sequeira as a central defender, and that he has Talley penciled in as a starting holding midfielder.

I certainly hope Tarley picks up his play next season.

I think with Mathis gone Tarley will finally come out of his shell! Go Melvin!

My daughter (shes 12) found out Mathis was traded today. She got a sad face and said "Mathis was my idol". LMAO Now that I think of it, he was an interesting influence on her and her soccer playing. All her life she has played soccer but until this year she was very timid and would just sort of follow the ball around and not really fight for it. Watching Mathis helped her be more aggressive, and I remember she even got a foul once for elbowing someone and she came up to me and said....If this was RSL and I was Mathis that would not have been a penalty. She kind of gave the ref a hard time. It was funny. So Mathis...one little 12 year old girl from your hood will miss you....(and her Mom too). Good luck in Colorado (or wherever you end up) we will miss your spunk! :punk:

My wife and I had to tell my 2 yr. and 5 yr. old daughters that they won't be able to sing their chant anymore:

You can't beat us, we've got Cleetus! You can't beat us, we've got Cleetus! :punk:

(unfortunately, their wasn't much truth in that).

They would sing this at home, in the car, in the tub....guess we'll have to come up with something else. We'll still let the oldest one wear her Mathis T-shirt. Personally, I hate to see Clint go, but I do like the trade.

And if there was, I'd like to think they wouldn't have made the trade. I think a few Brazilian trialist can take a punch or two from Clint as long as the teams winning. 🙂
