I was going to knit all my Xmas gifts this year, but I'm not allowed to go in the yarn store without a chaperone these days... *sigh*
I'm on the List of People Who Are on the E-mail List But Didn't Pay Dues, I guess.

They will be doing more extensive checking sometime in the future... The Membership Cards were discussed last night and everyone seemed to be in agreement regarding the need for them!

I can't say which list anyone is on because I didn't see the lists! I would bet that if you were on the email list, and not on the asked for and recieved Loyalist discount list, that you can be safe in the knowlege that you did the right thing! Just a thought!

The issue of membership on this forum would be a members section for site supporters I think. Neil would make that call and would have my support either way. He has put up more than rice cakes for this piece of cyberheaven.
I have struggled with membership priviledges vs. giving stuff out from free in hopes of attracting more members. For instance, the mailing list notifying people of the meetings. And posting recaps here and on theloyalists.com I have made a list of what I call posers. This list is of people who identified themselves as Loyalists but aren't dues paying members. (Some have since joined.) I'm contacting "the authorities" about this fraud but if anyone has ideas about how strongly worded/tire irons to the knee caps my contact should be please share.

I agree with both Loyal1 and Deuce. Only those that take advantage of Loyalist discounts on tickets but are not really Loyalists are "bad".
We do need membership cards. Loyal1, can we just use the Paypal confirmation number as the Loyalist number? Would make things easier. Deuce, I think I have the master list of Loyalists. However, only Loyal1 knows whos for real. BTW Clarette, my wife would be happy to help you make gifts next year. Provided that we are actually IN Utah next year. :D

I haven't mentioned anything about this yet, but I am a dues paying member and I would like to know all the "inside" info. Could someone fill me in on this?

The news about Metros pawning off Pope for "two hot dogs and two beers" is out of the bag, but you can read about the rest of the meeting summary at http://www.theloyalists.com/Meeting20Jan2005.htm
