Quidditch World Cup [R]

Is it wrong to hope the FO scraps all the drawings of the stadium and instead builds the stadium from the new Harry Potter movie?

If you aren't planning to see the movie, go pay just to see the Quidditch World Cup scenes!! I wish sporting events around here were that exciting!

Has anybody else seen the movie? I loved it, mostly because it was the first time I've gone to a movie theater since before the twins were born, but it was one of my favorite Harry Potter movies so far.

Rep to anybody who posts a picture of the QWC stadium!

And I have to tell you, I think it is the worst of the movies, so far! I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one.

But I have to admit that I didn't see it from a good angle. I was in the absolute front row and had to look up at a very sharp angle for the whole time, and all those closeups were foreshortened for me, so it made everyone look really bad. I'm going again, so I can see it at a better angle.

I thought it was wonderful!

I loved the third one but this one is fighting for a first place spot. I went in with pretty low expecations I guess because I didn't think they could pack that long of a book into such a short movie, but I think they did a great job of it.

And the Weasley twins, how can you not love them? lol

Oh, and still looking for a pic of the stadium, all I'm finding are screenshots from the video game. Such a pretty stadium.

I got really excited during the movie seeing the stadium and thought the scenes of the team introductions were great. I was a bit disappointed they didn't show the match though.

I thought it was one of the better movies, which surprised me because I feel that Book 4 is one of the worst of the books...

I think it would be cool if the Deatheaters appeared at the end of the WC games too.

I just want one of those tents... with all of the magical features intact, of course.

BTW Did you guys like the movie?
I still haven't seen it. But I wanted to see it the first weekend it started, but my wife was out of town (and as a fellow lover of all things HP, she would have killed me if I saw it without her).
I've read nothing but good things from the critics, but I wanted to hear what you guys thought.

Thanks

I loved it, but I'd love anything that gets me into a movie theater and away from kids for a solid three hours. I'm a bit less choosy than I used to be.

When you see it, just imagine if RSL's stadium could be like that... lol... Complete with the dancing fireworks, etc.

I read that they took out big sections of the book to make room for a 3 hour movie.
What parts did they take out?
