An excellent article. Thanks for posting.

The one that interests me to most is #1 about the Beckham Exemption. I really think that this would help, but I think that they need to go slow and have lot's of stipulations.

for instance, they should probably only allow one exception, or exemption per team.

Also, they should make a stipulation that the team can afford it. That is, if they are going further in the red, then maybe they should work on their marketing, first.

Maybe they should only be able to use the Beckham Exemption if they have a stadium of their own, or if they are building one.

The problem is, we don't want the league to spend themselves out of business.
