If someone has it recorded I am sure we can get Iggy's to show it. barring any legal issues of course.

I agree. My Monday just got better. It makes me a bit sad to think they won't be wearing RSL colors next year, but great pics non the less. Wish I could be there on the 2nd.

So is this a general supporters thing or is it sponsored by the Loyalists or what? When the details are all worked out, I can send an email to all of the Loyalists inviting them to the event if y'all would like that.

Somebody should probably ask the FO about showing the game at Iggy's. Do you want to invite any of the other players? If we're inviting Brian, shouldn't "we" (the supporters) at least be buying his meal and drinks? What about other players if they're invited? Should the supporters pick up their tabs too?

Just a few things to think about!

It is not supporters group specific, it is for the "fans" to say "thanks" to Brian but it would certainly not hurt to send out an email about it. It would be appreciated.

The FO has already been approached for a copy of the season opener as well as invites to players and FO staffers have gone out as well. We are waiting for details.

I don't see why we(the fans) can't pick up the tab for the guest of honor (any objections? please voice them) but the other players are being invited and are welcome to come just like everyone else.

i think we should get a picture of Brian and blow it up to like 11x7 or whatever the common size is...and then get a nice frame...and that card border stuff...geesh..i've lost all of my vocab today...anyway and we could all sign that so he'd have it as a memory of his time here, and how much we all loved him being on our team.

I agree that is a good idea.
we should actually discuss this stuff privately tho... (Don't want him to know what we are getting him)who wants to head up the "going away gift" crew? Someone that wants to head up and be a point of contact for ppl to send ideas and can organise it?

any takers?

Something we do here at my work when someone leaves is a "mini scrapbook" where we all write a message to the person leaving and put in a picture of ourselves... in this case, we can open it up for anyone to bring picture(s) of this past year with Dunny in them or them with Dunny... whichever and have blank pages for the fans to write a message to him. We can do it in a 5X7 book, I have one I can provide.

Sounds kind of cheesey but it is AWESOME when it is all put together. The more people that contribute, the better. We can have it at the party for people to write in and bring their pics....

I can help Julia if she needs it...? I can put together the blank pages and I *think* I might have some pictures to start the book with... LOL 😍

This is just a suggestion, it would be cool to get pictures from all kinds of fans for him to take when he has to go to the Dark Side(stoopid Chivas... stoopid, stoopid Stoopid!) :yuck:

After the party, we can print pics from the party and send it to him to finish off his REAL 2005 YEARBOOK... wow, just made that up! LOL
