T&T vs. Bahrain [R]

Congratulations to Trinidad & Tobago, the fourth CONCACAF team to qualify for Germany:

T&T book spot in World Cup

Of course, we may lose Tiger next June in addition to our other Internationals.

I was so happy when I saw that. Go Tiger.

I must say, of all the players, I think I would be saddest if we ever lost Tiger.

Bahrain is appealing the 2nd game to FIFA since they had a goal disallowed after the Columbian ref said that dangerous play occured before the goal.

For those who didn't see it. The T&T keeper went to punt and as the ball dropped from the keeper's hand toward his foot a Bahrain player poked it away and scored. The ref called it back.

Anyone else who saw it think the appeal will be successful?

I really doubt that the appeal will be successful. In fact US soccer had a post about it yesterday that cited the rule. To me it is pretty clear to me that the ref made the correct call after reading the rules. The link to the rule is below.

Thanks. Before knowing exactly what happened I didn't think they would get the appeal.

And if that is what happened every junior high kid knows you can't get away with that crap.

How can they appeal that? Ridiculous. I was watching. Bahrain players were all pushing the ref, it was the obvious right call. 🥫
