👍

Good find. Thanks for posting. I didn't know about the Waiver Draft (I think that's what he called it). Hard decisions for coach Ellinger. Very nervewracking for the players. It's the moment of truth. Did they make the cut, or not?

I don't think I'd like being a professional athlete. No security.

I've gotten so attatched to all of our players this year, so to read about some of them leaving makes me so sad. I'm going to have a hard time. But, this is the MLS, not T-ball. I just have to keep telling myslef that! 😢

We've all come to like a lot of the players on this year's squad, but 5-5-22 just isn't that great of a record and change is inevitable. Good luck to all of this year's players wherever they end up in coming years.

Ezra Hendrickson, Kerry Zavagnin, Brian Ching, Brian Mullan and Ante Razov were all waived or otherwise released at one time. And they came back from it pretty well.

And one of our favorite targets from Blitzz games the last few years was Hercules Gomez who is playing quite impressively in his second chance this year.

I still remember the game we'd been calling him LA REJECT the whole game, and he scored a late goal. Pointed right at the supporters on his way back to get ready for the kickoff.

I also remember those days. It's kinda funny because seeing him play at the MLS level you feel like he's a buddy or something, almost like you want him to do well because you were there when he was kicking around in lower divisions.
