Future home to MWC sports could be sold
http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,635158230,00.html

I heard from some of you regarding my queasiness with Real Salt Lake's plans to build its soccer stadium in Sandy. Team owner Dave Checketts has offered an intentionally vague description of the $75 million project as a "public-private partnership." The loosey-goosey feeling of that seems to bug you:
"I really enjoyed your column today. I'm glad the local media is discussing the shady dealings surrounding the stadium. I credit the media with preventing the citizens for footing even more of the bill for this project. We've already been asked to kick in enough for a parking lot.
"Absent from your column was the role of Rocky Anderson. I believe the mayor's divisiveness in this community cost the city a professional sports team and potentially millions of dollars of revenue. The mayor has every right to be outspoken, even divisive. But his actions come at a price." - R.C., SLC
